Full moon rises over TRUMP on Matlacha Island

On Friday night, Lovegrove Gallery & Gardens hosted a well-attended meet-and-greet for Francis Rooney, who is running for the United States House of Representative, and the gallery's newly-erected TRUMP sign was on full display. Not only was the signed lighted for the first time, but passing motorists were treated to the incredible sight of the full moon rising over the sign in the southern sky. (The moon is that feint white orb over the T and between the two palm trees.)

For more on the Rooney meet-and-greet and its sponsors, read the next few blogs. And read further to hear about what inspired me to paint five 4 by 3 foot canvases that spell out the name of TRUMP. The letters are for sale, but I won't be keeping the proceeds of sale. Instead, they'll go to pay tuition for up to five cadets to attend either the Fort Myers police, Fort Myers fire or EMS academy. And come back tomorrow for more on the Rooney meet-and-greet.
